TriggerMail Series Part 3
We’re on a roll! By now you’re probably starting to get the idea, so this one should be pretty easy.
Link Click triggers
Link Click TriggerMails are a completely new feature - you’re going to love this: You’ve been sending out these amazing newsletters that, having been designed in the GraphicMail system, are content-rich and contain plenty of links to your own or other websites. When subscribers open your newsletters they often click on the links to view these sites.
TriggerMail allows you to set those ‘link clicks’ to act as a trigger for an automated follow-up email. You can even stipulate how long after the click the email must be sent.
Let’s say you provide a link in your newsletter to a page on your site that has more detailed information about a particular product or service you offer. When a subscriber clicks on the link to view that information, you can send a follow-up email to send to them three days later to ask if they would still be interested in purchasing the product or acquiring that service. You can even add incentives; perhaps receiving an email offering them a 10% discount a week later is gives them that little push to make the deal. The automated follow-up email can be as simple as a thank-you or information on a related product.
Notice how these TriggerMail features all serve to advance your email marketing campaigns? By keeping up this constant communication with your readers, you not only develop your customer relationships, but also cater and respond to their individual interests, thereby making it much more likely that they will respond positively to your marketing strategies.
It’s really very simple – and really very useful!
