I’ve given tips on how to optimize marketing emails for mobile devices, but after posting some questions on Facebook and Twitter I realised many of you haven’t actually looked at what your email campaigns look like on mobile screens. Here’s why you should be following those mobile optimisation tips:

The eMarketer Daily recently reported that 31% of mobile users check their emails on their mobile phone more than four times daily; 32% check 1-3 times a day. These days the odds are strong that your marketing email is being read on a mobile instead of a desktop - from October until December last year (2010) 13.36% of email opens were opened on a mobile.
I could give you more statistics, but I think this is pretty convincing already – don’t you?
